Fr. Michael White

Rev. Michael White is a priest of the Archdiocese of Baltimore and pastor of Church of the Nativity in Timonium, Maryland. With his co-author and associate Tom Corcoran he is an award winning, best-selling co-author of the books Rebuilt, Tools for Rebuilding, Rebuilding Your Message, churchmoney, and Seriously, God? with hundreds of thousands in combined sales, translated into seven languages. Many say Rebuilt has changed the conversation about parish mission and culture in the American Catholic Church and influenced parish rebuilding efforts around the world. Fr. Michael and Tom have spoken at diocesan gatherings and church conferences nationally and internationally, they also appear regularly on Catholic TV. Together they developed Rebuilt Parish, a ministry dedicated to helping to grow healthy parishes.

Father Michael earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University, Maryland and his graduate degrees in Theology and Ecclesiology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. After being ordained a priest, he worked as the priest-secretary to Cardinal William Keeler, who was then the Archbishop of Baltimore and President of the National Conference of Bishops. During that time, Fr. Michael served as the director of the Papal visit of Pope John Paul II to Baltimore, Maryland.

During Fr. White’s tenure as pastor of the Church of the Nativity, the parish has experienced robust growth in every measurable way. In 2018 Nativity completed a new $16m church seating 1,500 people, the project was completed on schedule and without debt. State of the art technology ensures an amazing online experience as well which continues to grow robustly. 

Fr. Michael has been published in national publications such as America Magazine and Priest Magazine. His latest book, Rebuilt Faith: A Handbook for Skeptical Catholics is available now. 

Tom Corcoran

Tom Corcoran's career in Catholic ministry has been marked by a rich tapestry of experiences spanning over 26 years. This wealth of experience has not only equipped him with practical insights but has also inspired him to share these principles with others through his writing and speaking activities. In collaboration with Fr. Michael White, Corcoran co-founded Rebuilt Parish Ministry, where he has been instrumental in driving parish revitalization through in-depth coaching partnerships designed to walk alongside pastors on their unique rebuilding journey.

In addition to the Rebuilt Parish Ministry, Corcoran presently serves as the Associate to the Pastor at the Church of Nativity in Timonium, Maryland. In this capacity, he plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the parish. His hands-on involvement in parish life affords him firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities facing Catholic communities, further enriching his perspectives as an author and speaker.

Tom Corcoran has coauthored 7 books with Fr. White including Rebuilt, Tools for Rebuilding, Rebuilding Your Message, Churchmoney, and Seriously, God? which have collectively sold over 200,000 copies, underscoring their significant impact within the Catholic community. Rebuilt in particular stands out for its transformative influence on discussions surrounding parish renewal and culture, resonating with clergy, lay leaders, and parishioners alike. Their latest book, Rebuilt Faith: A Handbook for Skeptical Catholics, offers practical insight for individuals navigating their faith journey and seeking to deepen their relationship with Jesus.

In addition to these contributions as an author, Corcoran is also highly regarded as a speaker, sharing his expertise on parish ministry at various national and international events. His engaging presentations and unique insights have made him a sought-after keynote speaker at conferences, including the Proclaim Conference in Sydney, Australia, Alpha - Ireland and Diocesan Convocations hosted by many prominent Archdioceses such as Boston, Detroit, and Montreal.

In 2023, Tom Corcoran was honored by Pope Francis with the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Award for outstanding service to Church and Pope.
